Early in November 2018, the Embassy of Slovakia in London together with partners is organising a series of presentations of a new translation of The Bloody Sonnets by Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, Slovakia’s greatest poet. These presentations will take place in several cities, including London, Belfast, Cardiff, Stirling and Ireland´s capital Dublin, to mark the centenary of the ending of World War I as well as the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of Czechoslovakia and 25th Anniversary of the foundation of Slovakia.
